このエリアの一般情報・歴史・特徴など

850mの通りに200本近いけやき並木が続く「けやき通り」を中心に、個性的な雑貨屋やおしゃれな飲食店などのお店が並んでいます。　これまでは駅裏というイメージが強かった駅南エリアもディスカウントショップなどが出来、今一番活気付いているエリアです。　毎年12月中旬～１月初旬には、ケヤキに20万個余のイルミネーションを飾り付ける「ＮＩＩＧＡＴＡ光のページェント」を開催。新潟の冬の風物詩になっています。

“Keyaki dori”is named after its beautiful keyaki (zelkovas) planted along the street. Approximately 200 trees are planted along the 850-meter-street and are decorated with about 200 thousands illumination lights every winter from the middle of Dec. to the beginning of Jan. It is called “NIIGATA Pagent of Lights" and became Niigata's seasonal tradition.

Get off the bus at Bandai entrance bus station and about 3 min on foot from there.

タクシー約20分（運賃約3000円）/ About 20 min. by taxi, and the fare is approximately 3000 yen. 高速道路 / Highway (if you are travelling by car) 高速新潟亀田ICより車で約20分 / About 20 min. from Niigata Kameda I.C.
